Tweak of the day

If you work from a point about 3 cm north of center, you get an orchid.

NOw this last variation is beginning to tweak my interest. Mandalas read to me as mandalas. But in your previous post, I had to stop at the second mandala from the top because of the "slanted symmetry" which was a really nice variation for me. And now the off-centric. Amazing what happens when you do a lot of them. How far will it go??? WHo knows? Good. That's the way it is "supposed" to be.

This orchid is way sexier than the regular mandalas.

Serena, I love this. Sexy, yeah. That's because of the dynamic given by the asymmetry. Classic mandalas are all about NOT being sexy, I do believe, but rather about fostering equanimity. Sexual response is decidedly not about equanimity, I think we can safely say, heh.

Thanks, guys, I like it too. When my studio is full floor to ceiling I'll post a picture of the whole thing. Putting the off-center ones next to the centered ones creates a nice effect.
